The Gunter Hotel San Antonio Riverwalk is a historic landmark, proudly listed on the National Register of Historic Places and a member of the Historic Hotels of America. Established in 1909 and named for investor Jot Gunter, the hotel has been part of San Antonio’s history for over 116 years. Recently, The Gunter completed a $57 million reimagination, modernizing its 311 rooms, including 30 suites, while preserving its Beaux-Arts architecture. The interior design, led by the award-winning firm DLR Group, blends classic architectural elements with contemporary interiors, featuring open, light-filled spaces, modern furnishings, and carefully curated details that honor the hotel’s storied past.
