Resources & help

Kulture City

Detroit Opera is KultureCity Certified, the nation’s leading nonprofit on sensory accessibility and acceptance for those with invisible disabilities.

The KultureCity® Sensory Bag is filled with items to help with calmness. There are noise-canceling headphones, fidget tools, tactile objects, and mood cards enclosed. Sensory bags are available at guest services in the Vincent Lobby and guest services in the Broadway Lounge adjacent to the Ford Lobby. They are free of charge; we will simply need a driver’s license or state ID until they are returned.

During shows, the Broadway Lounge will be  a “quiet room” for any guest that needs to use it. Pre and post-show, the area is multi-purpose. Please ask us for assistance if you need a quiet space pre or post-show.
