Traveling East on I-10 (from Armstrong International Airport):
Take I-10 E. Exit #235A / Orleans Ave / Vieux Carré onto Orleans Avenue. Orleans Avenue will become Basin Street. Continue on Basin Street and turn left at the gate (Essence Way). Continue on Essence Way until you reach the theater.
Traveling West on I-10 (from Slidell):
Take I-10 W. Exit #235A / Orleans Ave / Vieux Carré. Turn left on Orleans Avenue. Orleans Avenue will become Basin Street. Continue on Basin Street and turn left at the gate (Essence Way). Continue on Essence Way until you reach the theater.

Please silence or turn off all electronic devices, including cell phones, beepers, and watch alarms. We encourage you to share your experience at the Saenger Theatre via social media, but please refrain from doing so or texting during performances; the glow from your device is distracting.
Recording devices and cameras are not permitted in the theatre.
There is no specific dress code for attending shows at the Saenger Theatre. Guests should wear what is appropriate for the show they are attending. We usually suggest business casual attire.
Children under the age of six are encouraged to attend only special children’s theatre events. Everyone entering the theatre must have a ticket regardless of age. For the comfort and enjoyment of all guests, children who are disruptive to other guests will be asked to leave the seating area. Parents should use their discretion when deciding what shows are appropriate for children.
Merchandise is sold in the theatre lobby, if the tour is selling merchandise.
Smoking is not permitted in any area of the theater. Smoking patios are designated outside the main entrance.
We rarely cancel performances due to weather. In cases of inclement weather, we strongly recommend that patrons use public transportation where possible, travel safely and allow plenty of time to arrive at the theatre on time. During inclement weather, updates will also be posted on our website and Facebook page. We recommend that patrons check these sites frequently if there is a pending or occurring storm.
Firearms are prohibited within the theatre. Backpacks are prohibited. Bags and purses are subject to search.

Tickets may be purchased at the Saenger Theatre Box Office, located at 1111 Canal St, New Orleans, LA 70112. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday 12PM to 4PM. On performance days, the box office opens at 12 noon and closes at show time.
If you cannot find your tickets and have purchased them through an Authorized Ticket Source (Theatre Box Office, Ticketmaster or Broadway In New Orleans) we have a record of your sales transaction and can accommodate you. Please return to your point of purchase as soon as you as you discover you have misplaced your ticket(s). We will confirm your seating and issue a “Location Pass”, which you will pick up at the Will Call window one hour before your performance. For security purposes Location Passes will not be mailed. Identification and payment verification will be needed when you pick up the tickets. If tickets were purchased through an unauthorized ticket reseller, we cannot guarantee replacement.
Tickets can be purchased at the Saenger Theatre Box Office located at 1111 Canal St. in New Orleans. Doors open 1 hour prior to performance time unless otherwise stated. You can purchase tickets at the Mahalia Jackson Theater Box Office on the night of the show, subject to availability.
Security
For your safety and security, all guests will be subject to screening by walk-through metal detectors before entering the theater. Weapons, including concealed carry firearms & pocket knives are strictly prohibited.
Your safety and security are our top priority. We work in conjunction with local authorities to provide an unparalleled experience. Security measures are under constant review to ensure they remain effective. Please be aware that all patrons will be subject to a bag search and/or a magnetic scan. Please allow additional time for this process. We aim to keep any lines moving as quickly as possible.
Health Protocols
Face coverings are required on a show-by-show basis. Please check the show listing on our website for more information. When not required by a show, we strongly encourage patrons to wear face coverings while in the venue. Upon entry into the theatre, all patrons will be encouraged to sanitize their hands from available stations. Sanitizing Station with hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes are available throughout the theatre. We continuously clean restrooms and high touch areas throughout the performance. The theatre will undergo deep cleaning before the performance. If you are not feeling well, we encourage you to stay home and not attend the event.
Prohibited Items
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: cameras with external flash or interchangeable lenses, audio/video recording devices, tripods/monopods, laser pointers, illegal substances, weapons, noise making devices, fireworks, flashlights, optical illusions, signs/flags/banners, outside food and beverages, beach balls or projectiles, skateboards/scooters/rollerblades, cans or bottles, pets (service animals are welcome), laptops/tablets, selfie sticks, balloons and drones.
There is no clear bag policy at this time. Backpack of all varieties are strictly prohibited. Oversized bags will not be admitted.
The security process is a condition of entry. Any refusal or the use of abusive, threatening or discriminatory remarks will result in access being refused.
Exceptions will be made for those with disabilities, medical requirements and/or special needs.
