Getting around

Step free access and wheelchairs

As a historic building that opened in 1922, Curran is unable to provide wheelchair access to the upper levels of the auditorium, therefore a number of accessible seats exceeding the requirement have been set aside in the Orchestra in rows N (on the house left side) and U (on the left and right sides). When the Orchestra is not on-sale in it's typical format, comparable seating is held.

Those with mobility devices (canes, crutches, walkers, etc.) will need to check these items with a staff member to comply with local fire code regulations. At the end of the performance, an usher will return the device to the guest, or at intermission upon request.

Accessible toilets

Fully accessible restrooms are located on the lower level of the theater. A lift in the lobby is available for patrons with mobility issues.

Enjoying the show

Services for D/deaf and hard of hearing audiences
Please confirm Open Caption and ASL performance dates at the time of purchase.

We have infrared listening headsets available free of charge on a first come, first serve basis. They are available at a kiosk to the left, inside of the main lobby.

A valid ID is required as a deposit for a complimentary headset. Additional headsets will require a credit card. Both will be returned after the performance.
Services for blind, partially sighted or otherwise visually impaired audiences

To ensure proper seating, confirm the Open Caption, Audio Described, and ASL performance date when you request tickets.

For Audio Described performances, in addition to purchasing a ticket, a headset must be reserved by requesting a headset ticket. These headsets are free but limited in number and should ONLY be ordered for the blind or sight-impaired patron. With the reserved headset ticket, you may pick up the headset in the lobby of the theatre on the way to your seat. Tickets and headsets can not be reserved online.
